Treasurer’s Report:
Expenses/Income Reports:
Budgeted offerings needed to meet budget: $2650
·         Last  Month  Average offerings: $2560
·         2012 Annual Average offerings to Date: $2560
·         Current Account Balances: $25,644
·         Youth and Facilities: $11,500

Thrivent Projects Update:       
·  Fundraising and Match for carpet squares: $900.00
·  Kelly will let us know what Thrivent money will be available for 2012.

Kroger:  January $307

Treasurer Discussion/New Business:
·  Taxes have been paid and closed out for 2011.
·  All bills are electronically filed as well as paper filed.
·  We pay about 25 vendors throughout the year.
Treasurer’s Report:
·         Be sure to pay Rodney Britt for carpet squares: Total Cost of Carpet and Glue: $3,050.

·         Kelly will send receipt for communion pouring cup.

·         .55 is current mileage

·         Order 10 new Kroger cards.

·         The Treasurer needs to ask the Lutheran School for their agreed part of the carpet money.

Pastor’s Report:
·  Lent series will be about the 6 chief parts of the catechism. Just Pastor Johnson. Feb 22, Ash Wed, will start the lent series. It will be a general overview of catechism.
·  Johnsons are taking adult class.
·  Walther study in adult Sunday school.
·  Circuit meetings. (Not everyone in attendance.)
·  Need lay delegate to attend convention in Ft Wayne. The Indiana District Convention will be held June 28-29, 2012 at the Grand Wayne Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
·  Mundfroms joining.
·  .55 is current mileage

·         Pastor will email the E100 Devotions.
Stewardship Report: 
Kroger cards get more.
Kroger giving; check for $307.

Christian Education Report:
Bible Reading Program Update:
·  Starting 2nd week of readings in emails as well as on Facebook.
·  It is posted on the website as well. (Under Faith-Life Resources.)
·  Pastor Lohn  said he would send the devotions.

Sunday School:
   Children’s:  Average of about 5. Puppet shows are a nice addition for the children at the Pastor’s Children’s Sermon.
Rachel agreed to sing with kids at the end of sunday school.
   Adult:   10 to 18 people. Walther study.

VBS:
·  Felicia will ask Tara about what would work well for a good VBS date.
Lutheran School Report:
·  Looking into Synod Accreditation process.
·  It was in their newsletter that they will be going ahead with the process.
·  Pastor suggested partitioning the sanctuary for a kindergarten class. (There was a discussion with the staff about it.)
·  Staff did point out that there would be extra wear and tear. Could try to do it with a curtain or dividers. Would have to return the sanctuary back to working order on sunday. Staff agreed it is a good use of space for during the week.
·  The staff would like to offer the sanctuary to the LSL.
Christian Education Report:
·         Rachel agreed to sing with kids at the end of Sunday School






VBS:
·         Felicia will ask Tara about what would work well for a good VBS date.






Lutheran School Report:
·         The staff would like to offer the sanctuary to the LSL as a temporary solution to the need to start a kindergarten class. This would be in lieu of an immediate expansion of the building.
Youth Group:
Activities:
Purchase of Costa Rica Airline tickets for 11 people.
Fundraising Projects:
·  Rupp arena funds raised- $1954.82 (through Dec 2011)
·  Mongolian Grill - $327
·  Poinsettias –
·  Car Wash Tickets
·  Elks club  first 500 toward 2 Palmers deposit, then rest go to youth as a whole.  Church could continue working Elks and receive money for the trip.
·  Bds Mongolian Grill. Another event in March?
·  Bellacinos-  portion of whole night’s total sales.
·  Fundraisers with other restaurants.
·  March 24 Irish Gaelic Dancers Interactive Dance and Dinner.
·  Shepherds pie. Raffle baskets. GSLC help out with food
·  Legacy center. Millward centers. GSLC Fellowship Hall.

·  Super bowl subs? Feb 5th.
·  Pancake or spaghetti meal.

Youth Group:
·         It was agreed to make Super bowl subs.

Evangelism/Altar Guild:
·  The Wednesday night movies “Love comes softly” series 3 more before lent. Finish after Easter.
·  Bought new communion pouring cup.
·  Will keep collecting for orphanage offering through lent.
·  Stephens evangelism ministry suggestion too expensive, but Kelly will check into it. http://www.stephenministries.org/
·  Kelly offered to embroider white polo shirts for the church which could also be worn for Rupp concessions. Kelly would donate her time. She will get a price and sample.
Evangelism/Altar Guild:

Fellowship Activities:
·  April 8. Easter breakfast donations will go to youth. They will help set up and cleanup.
·  Feb 22 (Ash Wednesday) Lent starts.

Trustee Projects/Report:
·  Need a kickstand on front door.
·  Fellowship Hall Carpet Squares: Carpet has been ordered. Installation will either happen over spring break or the summer break.
·  Ask Kevin to add dusting, especially in David’s corner.
·  Need a spring cleaning day date. March 17?
·  Bulbs and ballasts need to be replaced.
·  Sign Repair: Cinder block estimates and sign repair estimates totaled $2,382.00. Arny will call man who is responsible and make arrangements.
o    Change school phone while we are at it.
o    Add height. Go to 8 ft high.
·  Salt spreaders available from Campanelli.
Trustee Projects/Report:
·  Check for running water. Bill high in Dec/Jan.
·  Need a kickstand on front door.
·  Need a spring cleaning day date. March 17?
·  Bulbs and ballasts need to be replaced.
·  Arny call man responsible for sign damage and arrange repair. The man has chosen to file it with his insurance company. (1/24/2012)

·  Post E100 Bible Readings.
·  Send out forms to staff.
·  Make survey.

·  Make a draft of the survey.
NEW BUSINESS:
·  Growth of the church - how do we foster growth?
·  The LSL would like to set up a GSLC and LSL meeting.
·  Calendar events.
·  Sarah shires from the narcotics group would like to meet on Sunday nights 8-9 weekly. Chris will be meeting with her.
·  Elder term constitution change.
·  Send out once more. Make vote in may voters meeting.
·  Survey - send out ASAP.
·  Change start time to 10 with ss after. Snacks after.
·  Try to catch people in person. Try it in the summer.
11:30 -12:15 Sunday School.
·  Keep a supplies list and get more cleaning supplies.
·  The carpet installation may happen over spring break or over the summer. The trustees will talk to Kim Hurley.

·  Felicia offered to get the green salad for the convocation on the 11th at Our Redeemer.

·         Nancy and Chris will coordinate a meeting for LSL and GSLC. Meeting set for Monday, January 30th at 6:30.
·         Add calendar events for GSLC website.
·         Send out the Elder change amendment.
·         Draft a service time change survey and send out to staff.
