· Review Progress: Contractor in place: Jonathan Isaacs, Size decided (16 ft additional space)

· Review contract with Isaacs Construction

· Demolition of Shed Saturday April 14. (dumpster arriving April 13^th)

Discussion:

Review of finances for expansion:

Cost of 16 foot expansion – $27,940

Grant from St John’s - $15,000 (outreach fund from St. John’s Lutheran Church)

LSL - $ 6,000

GSLS has committed - $ 7,000
Total financial Committment $28,000
HVAC cost - (split by GSLC and LSL) $ 2,250
HVAC cost is in addition to cost of expansion.

MOTION: (from GSLC Special Meeting March 25th)
The GSLC congregation agrees to spend up to $7,000 toward the cost of the LSL will pay all bills as scheduled on the contract. GSLC will write a check to LSL for $7,000 (estimated time mid-May).

LSL and GSLC both paid half the HVAC costs not previously budgeted ($1,125 each).

HVAC will cost $2,250 which will be contracted to Josh Stevenson.

He will use the existing HVAC system but extend it into the new expansion with a return and new vents with a “sensor” thermostat which will take the average of the fellowship hall and the new expansion.

It was decided that the expansion will have 9ft ceilings.

After a discussion about the LSL and St John’s fund commitments, it was decided it was time to sign the contract so that the contractor could pull the construction permits from the city of Lexington.

Arny Stromberg (GLSC Treasurer), Chris Lingle (GSLC President), Nancy Francis, (LSL Chair), and John Herbst (LSL Treasurer) all signed the contract.

LSL requested copy of Contractor’s insurance. (Gretchen will email it)

The removal of the shed directly behind the church will take place Saturday, April 14^th.

Anyone who wants to help is welcome. Volunteers will meet at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
