| Treasurer’s Report: (see reports) Expenses/Income Reports: Budgeted offerings needed to meet budget: $2650 2012 Annual Average offerings through February: $2,625 2012 Annual Average offerings through March: $2692 Current Account Balances: Checking: $7,465 Approximate Facilities: $12,819 Approximate Youth: $9,829 Total Savings: $22,830 Current balances include: Youth fundraising funds. (Still need to pay for airline tickets and registration for youth) Still need to pay for sign repair. Thrivent Projects Update: Kelly said she will be submitting a request for a Youth Match. Kroger: (Received check for $284.20 in early April) | FINANCIAL RELATED DECISIONS TO REPORT TO BOOKKEEPER: · Easter brunch donations will go toward the youth. ($226.00) · Sign Repair: (should have $1453.30 for masonry work for base out of ins check) · Can we pay the annual donation to the synod? Yes. The staff voted to pay the synod our budgeted amount. · Thrivent: Kelly will put a request in for the youth match for Costa Rica trip. · Kroger funds for April and May will go to the Youth Account. |

| Pastor’s Report: New Members: · Lent services were attended by average of 20 people. Next year hope to have round-robin back. · Currently teaching Adult Class for the Johnsons. May 6th will be new member Sunday. · Finishing the Walther Sunday School topic. · Will be starting an “Apologetics” class from Ken Ham · “Nature of the church” Scientology, and Mormons will be covered. · The next Men’s Social meeting will be at Bellacinos April 17th. · Vacation will be taken end of May. · Pastor conducted a “Blessing of the Bikes” at Bellacinos. · | Pastor’s Report: · Send out request for anyone interested in attending the district convention in Ft Wayne, IN June 28 and 29. · May 6th will be New Member Sunday and Staff appreciation · Gretchen will advertise new topic for SS. |

(2 subs used for April). · Still looking for new elder(s). · Eric Williams attended the Men’s Monthly social at the Beer Trappe. | Christian Education Report: Bible Reading Program Update: · Starting week _13_in emails. Posted in Facebook, website. Survey Results: · The survey was filled out by 55 people. The results showed that the service will stay the same. Sunday School: · There have been regularly 8 children attending. · 2 new families have been attending. · Felicia will begin to celebrate the children’s baptism dates. Adult Sunday School: · Continues to be attended by about 10-15. · Current Walther study will be concluding. · New study will begin May 20th. GSLC Men’s group: Meeting time. Bellacinos, April 17. Next meeting Tues May 15th at Bellacinos. Devotions from: Wild at heart: Discovering the Secret of a Man’s Soul by John Eldredge . VBS: Date: A date after the expansion construction and right before school (Aug). | Christian Education Report: · Gretchen will continue to post the Bible reading challenge by email as well as posting on Facebook, website and on the Shepherd’s Blog. · Survey results: The results of the survey will be communicated at the May Voter’s Meeting. · Next Men’s Social meeting will be at Bellacino’s on May 15th. · |
| Lutheran School Report: · LSL event raised over $2500. · Beautification Day will be Sat April 28th. · The Joint AdHoc meeting of the GSLC/LSL for the expansion met on April 10th. It was agreed that the expansion room will have 9ft ceilings. HVAC will be completed by Josh Stevenson. The LSL will write the checks to the contractor. | Youth Group: Activities: Costa Rica - July 8-18 Costa Rica · Mulch ordered and has been spread. (about 2,000 was made) · Embroidered Shirts buy/or bring your own (proceeds to youth) Go toward youth. · Can Thrivent match Rupp. Kelly will look into. · Rachel will let the bookkeeper know the timetable for Costa Rica Trip expenses. · Kroger money has been voted to go to youth for April and May · All Rupp checks deposited? | Youth Group: · Gretchen will come up with the t-shirt order form. · Kelly will check with Thrivent chapter to see if there are any available funds. · |
| Evangelism/Altar Guild: · Collect/Send Craig Moline box · Sponsor a child. As soon as Nancy says there is enough donated, we will send a check to start the process. · The LWML District meeting convention in June 22-24 is in Evansville. Gretchen will ask Kelly for agenda. Ruth Kloha or Rachel Hooker will attend. · Easter bags for all the children were given out on Easter. · A small gift for the Women’s Narcotics group were given (4/15/2012). · It was agreed to fundraise up to $3,000. · Wednesday Movie night will start up in May. · Embroidered Polo shirts will be offered to the congregation. Bring in your own polo and for $10.00 get a GSLC design embroidered. ALTAR GUILD: · Need a couple of new people. | Evangelism/Altar Guild: · Felicia agreed to make a thermometer for the Building Fund fundraising. · Pastor has copy of convocation tape. Gretchen will edit to post for congregation. · Kelly, Gretchen, Felicia will wrap up box for Craig Moline. · Gretchen will look into a lockbox. · Felicia will organize the silent auction baskets and give Gretchen a list of supplies for donation. Gretchen will advertise Potato Bar for the New Member/Staff appreciation lunch. · Gretchen put in announcements need for new altar guild volunteers. · Kelly will handle the embroidery of the polo shirts. |
